THE EVENT IS A COLLECTIVE JOURNEY THROUGH HIVES OF PRERECORDED SOUNDS AND SIGHTINGS PILOTED BY THE ARTIST ROBERTO N PEYRE. RE-EMBODIED BY YOU.
A fine selection of transmutating key moment scenes from feature-, documentary-, art-, and amateur movies will be VOICED, COLLAGED, and screened throughout the evening, beginning at 6pmsharp.
There will be flickering lights, strong and explicit film scenarios. Thisevening is not suitable for children, epileptics and the faint hearted.* Acousmatic sound is sound one hears without seeing itsoriginating cause. The word acousmatic, from the Frenchacousmatique, is derived from ἀκουσματικοί akousmatikoi, a termused to refer to probationary pupils of the philosopherPythagoras who, so that they might better concentrate on histeachings, were required to sit in absolute silence whilelistening to their teacher deliver his lecture from behind aveil or screen. The term was first used by the Frenchcomposer, Pierre Schaeffer (1966). ”
